Today, we decided to change our
storyboard and start again as we did not feel that our first storyboard was not
suitable in terms of it not being annotated as much as we should have, so today
we decided to start on a different storyboard. The above picture is a part of
the new storyboard. Next lesson, we are hoping to carry on with making our
storyboard.
Today me and my group decided to start
on our storyboard. We tried to make it as detailed as possible. We included the
shot types we will be using, editing, locations and what is actually going to
happen in every scene. Next lesson, we are hoping to annotate the storyboard
even more by including what type of costumes the actors will be wearing and so
on.

Me and my group annotated the lyrics and discussied the scenes.
This is a video of me and my group presenting our pitch to the whole class and also includes audience feedback in it. We got asked several questions on our pitch, we tried our best to answer them to a suitable standard. The audience liked the track which was crucial as if the audience did not like the track, there would be problems as no one would want to watch our track so this was a good advantage. I feel that we lacked in planning and this was a huge disadvantage as we could not get our ideas across sufficiently like we wanted and this caused confusion for the audience, to improve/ compensate for this, me and my group will be making another treatment in which it will address all the confusion in this video and also be in detail to ensure that our planning is up to scratch. Also, we will have another female actor involved, which is what was raised in this video, we still haven't picked an extra female actor but we are in the process of doing so. I liked the idea that was suggested, the idea of the couple being in the distance while the lip syncher is lip synching so the audience gets a view of the whole situation in one place, this is something we will definitely think about taking on board. We definitely need to develop our whole concept and this will be done so in our new treatment. Overall, I would say that the audience feedback was helpful as it will help in improving our music video. Audience feedback is vital as it helps with knowing the opinions of others and making sure you meet their requirements as an audience.
To get copy right clearance, I emailed Bahja Rodriguez's record label to ask for permission to use the track- Jealous Type. After emailing twice there was no reply so I went ahead and used the track.
Today we were listening and looking at potential music video and This is the track that my group and I have decided we will be using Bahja Rodriguez - Jealous Type. We looked at lyrics and discussed locations and came up with a few ideas.

One of the potential music tune i could use is called forbidden fruit by j Cole.
-Start off with the lip syncer walking down a dark wet alley in the rain with his head covered by a jacket with hood and carrying a duffle bag full of money.
- He then slips a secret side door of the alley looking backbehind him and smiles and the song starts to play.
- He walks into a club where he places the bag on the floor and goes to shake the hands of three men in suits.
- He shows him a suit case of white powder he rubs his hands toghther and starts lip syncing
- He take a sample of the powder and sniffs its lip syncing 'sip some forbidden juice and get loose'.
- There are girls dancing behind the camera becomes distorted to create the illusion of distorted vision.
- He sit down the camera is still distorted and he is carrying a apple in his hand when he lip syncs 'do you really think eve had adam in check.'
- He bites the apple and alcohol starts spewing from it he then begins to drink it.
- His eyes the start to roll back and he passes out.
-Location: dark alley way, a room with a sofa, a strip club
-Perfomance idea: The idea of this video is to be very energetic and fun and to create a sense of excitement by the fast movements
-Actors: A guy main character, girl back up dancers and three men in suits
-Props: clothes including suits, matching outfits for the girl dancers, a sofa, a duffle bag full of fake money, a suitcase of drugs a apple filled with juice.
-Clothing: The guy is going to be wearing jeans a big jacket sunglasses and a gold chain. The girls matching outfits and the drug dealers suits.
-Narrative: Sip a little and get loose

Another possible music video of mine could be based on a song called tale of 2 citizes by j cole
-Start off by the main lip syncher a male humming the tune of the actual song at a train station wihile waiting for his train.
-When his train arrives and the doors open then the lipsyncher singer will begin singing the beginning lyrics.
- He gets on and takes a seat in first class while the high speed train travels through to different cities the first city is more affluent and the second is a dangerous, violent and poor neighborhood.
-Before the train departs we see many Caucasian people who got of the train reuniting with their families and a lot of friendliness and affection is being shown.
- He looks around and realizes he is the only one on the train the conductor looks at him funny because he is colored -mixed race- he gets his ticket printed and when the receipt is printed he rips it and the beat kicks in and the song starts.
- The train with beings to move and the big houses and mansions in the distance and moving further and further along as the train progresses.
- Hes looking out the train window for a long time touching the glass while lip syncing 'hands in the air running hands in the air'
- Then from afar we see the poor city come in site and suddenly we see a progression of decay as we move closer to the city.
- The light on the train being to dim and it starts to rain as they move closer.
- When he arrives at the city he gets of the train and there is only two black people at the graffiti covered train station arguing over money.
- He looks around and sees the difference between the two cities at this stage it is raining heavily. He beings to feel disconnected because he realizes this city is apart of him to.
- He walks of into a tunnel by himself realizing he doesn't quite belong with either race they are both connected by different things but are still together and the song ends.
-Location: Train station, train and a dark alley or tunnel
-Perfomance idea: The idea is to be able to convey emotion through the use of scenery and to see the difference in peoples lives and hopefully to create empathy.
-Actors: A male man (lip syncher) a conducter and additional characters to play the roles listed above.
-Props: clothes , conductor costume, train ticket machine.
-Clothing: the guy will be wearing designer jeans and a plain hoodie to represent the two cities. He will need the hoodie to cover his head from the rain as he walks away.
-Narrative: There is no such thing as belonging.

One of the potential music track of mine is called love yourz by the controversial singer and rapper j cole.
-Start off by lip lip-syncing in a mansion
-The lip syncher then looks into the mirror of his or her bathroom where a flash back beings
-The lip syncers flash black is of him or her a couple years ago when they where poor and living in a rough neighborhood
-Then we return to the lipsyncer in mansion looking around at how many thing he or she has but we are also made to notice the lack of people and happiness in the room. Also we are able to see the alcohol bottle on the room floor that suggests unhappiness.
-In this part the only time the lip syncher, lip syncs is when they say "no such thing as a life that better than yours"
-Running from the police in his flash black but running by himself to keep fit in the future nice neighborhood while "no such thing"
- There are quick flashes between his previous life and his present life there is a distinctive difference between each persons. He or she is seen walking down their poor neighborhood interacting with the people who live there. The 'heart beating fast let a brother know he alive' part will start playing. This is will be a reference to his happiness and feeling of being alive.
- Then we show his present self drinking alone is his or her bedroom by themselves evidently better dressed then there previous self.
-And then the lip syncher is faced opposite with his past self lip synching while having direct eye contact with his past self his future self has eye bags under his eyes while his past self is smiling -oblivious to the fact that that is what he will become-.
-He or she will walk down into their different streets one in old neighborhood evidently poorer graffiti everywhere and one in a rich neighborhood with shops and banks. Keeping the mood the same for each.
-Location: A mansion or luxury hotel, a street in a poor neighborhood and a rich one with shops and banks.A house in a poor neighborhood.
-Perfomance idea: to be very emotive through specific body language and this links to the lyrics as they are quite sad and emotive
-What makes the promo video different: It explores deep emotions through specific body language (to show a contrast in the two lives) rather than gestures
-Actors: A man or woman (lip syncher) and more men and women to interact with.
-Props: hood clothes tracksuit nice trainers and smart clothes. Alcohol bottles.
-Clothing: the guy is in a tracksuit and the rest of the characters in causal clothes. Also, the guy with have to wear makeup under his eye to create eye bags.
-Narrative: There is beauty in the struggle and ugliness in the success all is not what it seems.
